Clocks Made from Stuff

Allan Young is a Virginia artist who has been taking things apart since the day he could walk, and occasionally putting them back together. These wonderful clocks are made from cool junk, computers, cameras, bikes, movie reels, you name it. Reusing these materials rescues them from landfills, and the clocks create a fun, artsy living or working space.

Your purchase also helps support Ocean Conservancy: working to bring people, science and policy together with a mission to counter the many threats to ocean health and sustainability. From protecting vital, vulnerable ecosystems through legislation, to enforcing accountability among leaders, Ocean Conservancy seeks solutions for a healthy ocean and the wildlife and communities that depend on it.

"Which one to buy? And do I buy for myself or for someone in the family?  The movie reels first caught my attention.  How cool!  And with so many movie buffs in the family, it was just a matter of my purchase not making one person jealous of another.  Then I saw the the bike gear clocks and thought, 'the person making these is incredibly talented.'  Making use from waste.  Beautiful art from trash. I think I'll buy more than one." - Rick
