Cashmere Scarves

100% cashmere scarves are handmade by blind, deaf, and disabled weavers in Nepal.  Your purchase of these scarves helps to support the families of these men and women who are disabled.  Nepalese society has discriminated against the handicapped, leaving them little or no opportunities for work.  Weaving gives them an independent life and self-esteem.

Cashmere comes from the softest undercoat of a goat and it takes an average of three goats to make one scarf. These are not cashmere blended scarves, they are 100% hand-loomed cashmere made on traditional looms.

Scarves measure approximately 28" x 74”

Your purchase also helps support Ocean Conservancy: working to bring people, science and policy together with a mission to counter the many threats to ocean health and sustainability. From protecting vital, vulnerable ecosystems through legislation, to enforcing accountability among leaders, Ocean Conservancy seeks solutions for a healthy ocean and the wildlife and communities that depend on it.
