The Firehose Red Tote bag is made from genuine UK firehose, decomissioned and recycled, and lined with reclaimed auction banners, making each bag a crafty, unique work of art. Previously deployed in active firefighting duty for up to 25 years, the hose reimagines a classic shape into an eco-original.
The story of the Firehose Red Tote's creation goes back to 2005, and two visionary women's chance encounter with the London Fire Brigade. Since then, over 170 tons of retired fire hose material has been reclaimed and repurposed instead of heading to the landfill.
A perfect day bag due to its size and robustness, the tote will keep you dry through a rain shower and keep its contents dry even in a downpour. And don’t worry about setting it down on the ground; it will wipe clean with just a cloth and a little furniture polish. This over-the-shoulder bag is big enough for a 13" laptop and has 3 internal pockets. Practical, individual, beautiful, timeless.
