This amazing, richly colored Firehose Red Wash Bag is made from genuine decommissioned, upcycled fire hose and lined with high-visibility reclaimed parachute silk. Previously deployed in active fire-fighting duty for up to 25 years, fire hose makes for a perfect wash bag. Strong enough to weather the most punishing conditions in its first life, the hose has been re-imagined and re-engineered to protect your toiletries.

The story of this wash bag's creation goes back to 2005, and two visionary women's chance encounter with the London Fire Brigade. Since then, over 170 tons of retired fire hose material has been reclaimed and repurposed instead of heading to the landfill.

The hose itself is of course waterproof, not only protecting what’s inside but, perhaps more importantly, protecting what’s outside from leaky shampoo bottles and exploding toothpaste tubes.

It's a large washbag, so you can fit pretty much anything you like: tooth brush, toothpaste, razor, shaving brush and cream, soap, shampoo, hairbrush, nail clippers, and even some of the bulkier items you might come up with.

Features:

  • Genuine British upcycled firehose
  • Lining from reclaimed military-grade parachute silk
  • Robust construction
  • Handy internal pocket
  • Wipe-clean surfaces
  • Water-resistant
  • Dimensions: 24 x 14 x 14cm (about 9.4" x 5.5" x 5.5")

This bag may have an odor when it arrives to you, due to the rubber in the firehose.  This is completely normal, and will dissipate if the bag is left to air out for a few days.
